CAMELFORD Town Clerk, Marian Sedgwick, is retiring, after two years in the role, and 22 years in total with councils in Cornwall.
Marian had hoped to continue as town clerk for a "few more years", but has decided to retire due to ongoing health issues and those of her husband.
She said: "I have really enjoyed working for Camelford and the council. Members have made me feel really welcome and valued and I am very sad to be leaving.
"The amount that the council does for the town goes largely unseen but Camelford would be a poorer place without it. I also enjoyed getting to know some of the people in Camelford and would like to thank all those who have welcomed me into the community."
