On National Drive Day, April 26, six Pembrokeshire men set out from Pembroke Dock in their classic cars to Ireland, for a four-day tour of the Wexford area. The drivers were Haydn Allen driving his 1961 Singer Gazelle, Haydn Bateman driving his 1982 Bedford HA van, David Esmond driving 1980s Austin Maxi, Tony Hossack driving a 1950s Morris 1,000, Doug King driving a 1980s Rover 216 and Malcolm Powell driving his 1930s Morris 8 Tourer. Proudly bearing the Welsh and Pembrokeshire flags and with tour plates sponsored by Station Garage, Kilgetty, the group are pictured prior to their departure on Irish Ferries.
