A WALK commemorating the tenth anniversary of the 2004 flood in Boscastle led around 30 people on a circular walk from the harbour to the old road.

The walk was part of a series events for the anniversary. Walkers were led by Jess Cherrington of the National Trust, assisted by John Davis of the Environment Agency.

At the harbour, walkers learnt about the problems and blockages that had occurred, and how the river flow and trees in the valley were now managed. They also had a talk by Debbie Bezant, from local shop Things.

Onwards to the Minster Bridge, which has to be replaced, through Valency Valley, the walkers continued through Peters Woods on to Minster Church, where they were met with welcome refreshments served by the Friends of Minster Church.
