Launceston Railway Circle will be taking a look back in time at railways in and around the area with an event in October.

It will be hosted at Launceston Town Hall and the railway circle is looking for any photos the public can provide to feature at the event.

If anyone is able to supply or loan photographs or books of the Launceston GWR or Southern stations or any images of locomotives from the 1950s to the 1960s please contact Launceston Railway Circle’s publicity officer Les Whaley on 07972 333202 or by email at [email protected]

Mr?Whaley is also looking for old photographs of Stourscombe from the 1940s to date and the areas surrounding it. There were farm buildings and machinery from the building of the A30 that are of interest. If anyone could loan some photos that could be copied contact Mr Whaley.
