TOWN crier Rob Tremain and 'Big John', the ringmaster on stilts, invited everyone to Launceston?Town Hall for 'The Event' last Saturday. 'The Event' saw three Anglican churches in Launceston — St Stephen the Martyr, St Thomas the Apostle and St Mary Magdalene — along with the shared Methodist and Anglican church of Christ the Cornerstone, Tregadillett, come together to showcase Launceston Parish. There were free refreshments, children's activities, quizzes, face painting and displays from each worship centre, which gave information on their history and current activities.
