THE restoration of Lanteglos Church is well underway.
The Friends of Lanteglos Church recently reported that the main part of the scaffold is due to come down, with the main roofs of the church now completed and the tower roof ‘progressing well’.
They also reported that the sundial on the front of the church porch is dated 1712 but is still in working order! The sundial comes from a time where Queen Anne was on the thrown and Louis the 14th ruled in France.
However, the friends are now appealing for donations to meet their funding target. To donate towards the £10,000 needed to meet the target, visit www.crowdfunder.co.uk/lanteglos-church-restoration.
