A COFFEE and sales morning at St Teath village hall on Saturday raised £813 for church choir funds.
The villagers and friends were very generous with their donations to help make the morning a success and there were tables with new and nearly new clothes, bric-a-brac, quilted items including a quilted bedspread, home-made fudge, hand-made wood-turned items, a cake stall and children's and baby knits.
The tombola and raffle did a brisk trade as did the tea or coffee with a home-made biscuit counter.
As well as singing in St Teath Church on Sunday mornings, the choir, under the guidance of Alan Dawe, is also called upon to take part in other church services such as weddings, funerals, Christmas and Easter services, and occasionally to sing in other churches in the area.
