TWELVE organists and pianists took part in the Charity Music Day at Delabole Methodist Church on Saturday, August 14.

The youngest pianist was nine-year-old Jake Hammond while the eldest was Stuart Biddick, both from Delabole.

The music provided a background for those who attended to listen, eat and support the charity Christmas card and gift stalls.

The stalls were convened by friends of Cornish hospices — Children’s Hospice South West, the Merlin Appeal and Traidcraft.

One of the organisers of the event, Helen Hicks, said: “We had a great day meeting, greeting and eating, as well as over £1,000 being raised for the charities.”
