THE sun was shining and the church hall in St Teath was buzzing when the choir held a coffee morning with ‘extras’ on Saturday morning, April 14.

The ‘extras’ included a luscious choice of cake with coffee or tea, all included in the £1 entry fee; the services of two extraordinary pianists namely Alan Dawe (the choir master) and Gareth Stubberfield; and an occasional spontaneous burst of song.

There were also some very good and varied stalls where people could be tempted by some superb handcrafted items or some tasty baked goods.

The choir were delighted to have raised a little in excess of £650, much of which will be used to purchase music that will bring enjoyment to many. They would like to extend their thanks to Lorraine Jasper, who organised the event, and to all those who were persuaded into helping.
