Members of Chilsworthy Chapel recently watched a DVD which showed the work of the Bible Society in Nepal. The short film encouraged Christians in this country to support believers in Nepal, who were able to openly celebrate Christmas for the first time. An offering was taken to provide conventional and braille Bibles for the rapidly growing Church in this impoverished country. Ruth Bealing, leading the service, emphasised the need for the Church in this country, in this free democratic society, to keep Christ at the centre of Christmas. A photograph of the congregation taken at this service, has been sent to the Church in Nepal as a seasonal greeting. The chapel Christmas tree was decorated with Nepalese stars made by the children. Tea from Nepal was served at the close.
