MEMBERS of Delabole football and cricket clubs took part in their annual swim at Port Gaverne on New Year’s Day.

This is a sponsored event, which was in its fourth year back after a decade’s absence, raising around £850 which is shared between the clubs to help with general running costs.

Twelve people in fancy dress, including the respective club captains Glen Burrell and Adrian Pooley, went in the water before they dried off and all headed back to the Delabole Working Men’s Club for a mug of hot soup and a roll.
