ROAD markings outside Tregadillett Primary School have been repainted and extended to improve safety for children.

Adam Paynter, Liberal Democrat Cornwall Councillor for Launceston North and North Petherwin, said: “A local resident contacted me with concerns about drivers who were parking in the school’s drop off area and putting the safety of the children at risk.

“After meeting with the resident, the school and CORMAC, we agreed to extend the Keep Clear School markings to include the drop off area and to repaint the existing lines and the bus stop.

“It’s great to have the newly painted and extended lines in place. They make things much clearer for the drivers and should improve the children’s safety as they make their way into the school.”

Tregadillett Primary School headteacher, Stuart Tulloch, said: “I would like to thank CORMAC for completing the work so swiftly. We have noticed an immediate change in drivers’ behaviour, which is making the school drop off much safer for the children.”
