TREGADILLETT Community Primary School hosted a Harvest Festival celebration which started with a special lunch for 20 retired residents from the village.

The children made three types of soup, bread rolls, and a selection of desserts. The residents very much enjoyed the meal and were impressed that the lunch had been made with produce from the school garden.

Later in the afternoon, parents joined the residents for harvest performances by the children.

Food donated by parents at the school, was made into 30 baskets which the Year 6 children delivered to other retired residents in the village and to the Chy Keres Respite Centre.

The school plans to donate the remaining food items to the Launceston Food Bank.
