ALMOST 200 children have already taken up this year's Summer Reading Challenge at Launceston Library, with many well on their way to collecting their stickers and a few have even collected their medals.

The challenge takes place every year during the summer holidays. Children sign up at their local library, then read six books of their choice, collecting stickers and other rewards along the way.

Part of the children's holiday treat also included a visit from Mark's Ark, who performed for Launceston Library on Friday, July 26 in the town hall as part of the 'creepy house' theme.
