Following a successful application to the Ernest Cooke Trust, Holsworthy Primary School were awarded a grant to put towards an environmental project. This term, the Year 3 class have been studying habitats and they decided that a new pond would enrich their learning. They designed the pond lay-out and surrounding area and researched suitable plants and wild life habitats. The children were keen to have a grand pond opening ceremony to say a big thank you' to the many local people who kindly offered help or donated supplies to make the pond a success. The whole school are looking forward to using their new pond next term.
