Prior to the meeting of the Bude Stratton and District Cancer Research Committee, they were pleasantly surprised to have two presentations, one being a cheque for £245 from Mrs Angela Martin, the other a cheque for £500 from Mrs Emma Semple. Both donations were given because these two kind ladies had special birthdays and wished to help the charity instead of receiving personal presents. The committee expressed their grateful thanks to them both. The committee also recently received £1,200 to share with Breast Cancer Moonwalk. This was raised from a big breakfast at Holsworthy, the second time this event had been held in the town. It was very well supported and the committee thanked everyone that attended.
