FOR the second time in two months, the generosity of the audience in the retiring collection at Launceston Choral Society's recent concert has enabled the society to make a gift of £500 to the charity chosen, on this occasion Macmillan Cancer Support.

The choice of charity was that of the family of Hilary Rayner, a popular and hardworking member of the choir who lost her battle with cancer in the autumn last year. The choir was pleased to see Hilary's family at the concert which featured joyful music, in particular Vivaldi's 'Gloria.'
