THE Bude Wyvern friends’ group was formed over ten years ago by Eileen Rendle. The group fund raises for the Children’s Hospice South West, with the help of Jenny Balsdon, friends and Wyvern staff.
Three years ago Sylvia Stevenson and friends joined the Wyvern group, and with other helpers they have managed to raise £6,547.37 in the past year.
The money was raised through events such as coffee mornings, open gardens, cream teas, stalls in the Triangle, Bude Light in Jazz week, a day session of taster therapies and supermarket bucket collections.
On Monday, December 7, the Wyvern friends welcomed Emma Perry, a new fundraiser from Little Bridge House.
