THE Launceston Rotary Shop was recently asked by the Werrington Cricket Club to help a young cricketer join a two-week tour in South Africa.

James Adams, who is 12-years-old and attends Launceston College, has attended the Cornwall Schools Cricket Association trials in Truro for six months, which are intensive and test youngsters’ cricket ability, skills and level of fitness.

The CSCA has arranged a two-week tour in South Africa in February 2018 for James’ age group, playing in Johannesburg and Cape Town.

James has to raise the tour costs himself and the Rotary shop has agreed to make a contribution to Werrington Cricket Club to help him on his way.
