IN AN effort to raise money for a dyslexia charity, Charlie Randall from Tintagel has already surpassed the target set for her by the charity.

Charlie will take on her tandem skydive on Saturday, April 23, in aid of Dyslexia Action — a charity group who provide specialist support for those struggling with dyslexia.

The charity initially gave Charlie a target of £500, she recently surpassed this and at present her total stands at £530.80.

Charlie is currently studying outdoor education at Truro College and her love of adrenaline has encouraged her to take on this heart-racing skydive.

Charlie has struggled with dyslexia, and was keen to do something that would raise money to help other young people like herself.

All the money that Charlie collects for her skydive will go to the charity in order to help it set up learning centres and provide online resources.

Charlie said: “I am overwhelmed with the amazing support everyone has shown to me with my skydive.

“With under two weeks until the jump I have counted my collection boxes and was amazed to have raised £71 in the boxes! So all together I have raised a total of £540.80 in sponsorship. I am now aiming to raise even more so that I can help my chosen charity as much as possible.

“I really can’t thank everyone enough for all the amazing support and very generous sponsorship. Without everyone’s help I would have never done this alone.”
