A 16-year-old from Tintagel will take to the skies to raise money for Dyslexia Action.
Charlie Randall has struggled with dyslexia all her life but was only diagnosed two years ago. She has chosen to take part in a tandem sky dive on Saturday, April 23, in order to raise money for the Dyslexia Action charity group.
Charlie currently studies outdoor education at Truro College and her love of adrenaline has encouraged her to take on the sky dive.
Dyslexia Action provides specialist support for those struggling with dyslexia and learning difficulties by providing free advice, catch up clubs for people falling behind with their studies and one-to-one tuition tailored to suit pupils.
It also provides training for teachers and employers to help pupils and employees with dyslexia reach their full potential.
All money donated for Charlie’s skydive will go to the charity to help it set up learning centres and provide online resources.
Charlie said: “I have chosen to take part in a sky dive for Dyslexia Action because I have been struggling with dyslexia my whole life but only got diagnosed two years ago.
“This has massively inspired me to raise money for a charity that can help other young people like me.”
