THIS Easter Saturday (March 26) will see a charity craft and gift fair in Launceston Town Hall.
From 10.30am to 4pm visitors will be able to browse the stalls and buy raffle tickets. The fair is free admission.
For more information email [email protected] or find the Pete’s Dragons Easter Craft and Gift Fair event page on Facebook.
All the money raised will go to the Pete’s Dragons, a suicide awareness and prevention charity.
Pete’s Dragons was formed when 24-year-old Pete Wicks took his own life. The group was formed to ensure suicide bereavement support is available.
Pete’s Dragons achieved charitable status in February 2015, and last April, Pete’s Dragons joined the Alliance of Suicide Prevention Charities, The Suicide Bereavement Support Partnership, Recovery Devon, The Devon Suicide Prevention Alliance and the South West Zero Suicide Collaborative.
The charity has a ‘Hug in a Hamper’ scheme — gifts to support those whose lives have been changed by the suicide of a loved one.
It also offers financial support — the charity is able to provide grants to help the bereaved purchase items or services which may be of help as they journey through the emotional and financial difficulties experienced after a suicide. Pete’s Dragons welcomes applications from throughout the South West.
The charity also offers bereavement support and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) training.

Last year’s craft fair raised more than £600.
