A COFFEE morning was recently held on Sunday, September 11 by the Ford family in their sunny back garden at Tremail, all in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, writes Helen Pusey.
Suzanne Ford ensured everyone was invited by posting an invite through every door in the village — even the dog helped too.
Suzanne said: “We are very happy with the turnout. We invited everyone from the village and lots helped to support the cause.”
It was soon time for people to catch up over mugs of tea or coffee with a homemade slice of scrumptious cake.
Mr Bilton said: “It was great to be invited and it is commendable what they have done. It’s also an opportunity for a community to get together while supporting a good cause.”
Many stayed for that last cup of tea and slice of cake. With the sun beating down, it was a success all round.
Altogether, £212.10 was raised for the charity.
