OVER 100 people dressed in their suits and dresses for a Valentine's ball and auction in aid of the MS Society last Saturday (February 16), at Bowood Park, Camelford.

Kirsty Ferguson, organiser of the event, is a sufferer of MS and sold over 160 tickets to help raise money for charity. Each lady received a red rose and goody bag on arrival. Entertainment for the evening included the Roscarrick Singers, Michelle, Josh Curnow and Jules Cook from the Royal Marine Band.

Meanwhile, keeping everyone amused, was compere and auctioneer Laurence Reed from BBC Radio Cornwall.

An auction was held, where several signed lots from celebrities were bidded for. This included a signed Skyfall poster from Dame Judi Dench, and a signed t-shirt from Ortise in JLS. His mum, like Kirsty is a sufferer of MS.
