BUDE Inner Wheel’s retiring president Jan Smith handed over the chain of office to the president for the coming year, Andrea Surgeoner, on July 3.

Beautiful bouquets of flowers were duly presented to Andrea from this year’s president of Bude Rotary Club David Anderson and also from her husband Cliff.

Andrea also made a presentation to Jan of an Agapanthus plant.

After a short meeting when various officers were presented with their badges everyone enjoyed a meal and a very social evening.

A spokesperson for Bude Inner Wheel said: “We look forward to a busy year under Andrea’s leadership and we are sure that at the end of it many local and worthwhile causes will benefit.”
