HEALTH and fitness coaches, Matt Luxton, of Launceston, and Nick Lane, of Tavistock, held an event called ‘The Tamar Charity Fitness Challenge’ at Yeat Farm, Lifton.
A mixture of clients who are regulars on both Matt and Nick’s programmes were invited to the fun but competitive challenge day.
There were five events that tested different aspects of fitness, teamwork and tactics.
Competitors were allocated into teams of three or four and completed in events that ranged from five to nine minutes.
Competitors across the eight teams were asked for a donation to Children’s Hospice South West and a total of £613.05 was raised.
Matt Luxton said: “We are really looking forward to hosting the next event in 2016 after some fantastic feedback and want to thank all competitors, Julie Credicott at Blue Skies Catering for an awesome spread. Roll on the next event.”
The cheque was presented to Children’s Hospice South West representatives Jenny Cook and Brenda Hooton by Matt Luxton at the end of the event.
