AFTER months of hard work and commitment, the operation of Camelford Leisure Centre has been officially handed over from Cornwall Council.

The transfer, which took place on Monday, is to be recognised with an official ceremony today (Thursday) which is open to everyone.

The news comes after many months of hard work and commitment from members of the Camelford Leisure Centre Steering Group. Camelford Leisure Centre Ltd is an Industrial & Provident Society (for community benefit) which has been set up by local people to take on the running of the centre and the transfer will be marked by this special handover event.
