WHILE the warmer weather and summer holidays seem a long way off after the recent seemingly endless winter storms, the team of nine volunteers who run Holsworthy Information Centre in the Manor car park are busy preparing for the summer season.

Last year's brochures, maps and holiday guides have to be replaced by new ones which are now arriving and new displays of local crafts of jewellery, woodwork, glass, paintings by local artists and books by local authors are being exhibited.

Currently the centre is open on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10am to 1pm, and on Wednesdays from 10am to 3pm, but to provide an improved service the staff would like to extend the hours by recruiting more volunteers.
