TWO of the seven participants that took part in the BT Sport Relief Million Pound Bike Ride passed through parts of the 'Post' area — including Camelford — last Thursday as they made their way to completing their 1,000 mile challenge.
The 1,000 mile challenge from John O'Groats to Land's End saw Jimmy Carr; Fearne Cotton; Patrick Kielty; Russell Howard; Davina McCall; Miranda Hart and David Walliams cross the finish line at Lands End at just before 7pm.
On their journey to Lands End, David Walliams and Davina McCall stopped off at Greenaways in Launceston.
Ruth Martin and Tina Dibner of Greenaways contacted the 'Post' as they said that Davina and David had been in the store in the morning to get supplies.
They were passing through Launceston on their journey. Ruth said: "They said they were taking the scenic route and were on their way to Langore. They came over the bridge and then cycled up St Stephens Hill."
Ruth explained how Davina had said she thought Launceston was a pretty town. Following the celebrities on their journey was a car, a trailer and a motorbike.
Tina said, herself and Ruth had shown their support by making a donation to Sport Relief Bike Ride which has now raised in access of their £1million target.
Davinia and David were also spotted in a layby just outside Camelford before travelling through the town.
