LOTTIE Heal, née Tilley, celebrated her 100th birthday at Southlands Court Residential Home, Bridgerule, on Friday, February 12 with several of her nieces and nephews, her brother Alfred and close friends.

Lottie was born at Higher Hill, Crackington Haven, and later moved with her parents to the Manor at Crackington, where she lived for many years with her brothers and sisters.

When the Manor was sold, she and her husband Gordon ran Pencarrol Guest House in Downs View, Bude, until their retirement, when they moved to East Fairholme Road.

In 2007 she gave up her home and since then has been at Southlands Court Residential Home where she is well cared for and very happy.

She received many cards and flowers on her special day and, although she is blind, the card from the Queen brought a smile to her face as seen in the photo.
