A CELEBRATION evening to mark 40 years as Launceston town crier for Rob Tremain was held in the town hall on Saturday, February 11, where invited guests helped Rob to celebrate this milestone.

Mayor Brian Hogan and mayoress Anita White presented Rob with a framed sketch of himself in the town crier outfit and his wife Pat with a bouquet of flowers for her support.

All the expense of the evening was covered by donations from town council staff, councillors and attendees.

Entertainment was provided on the evening by ‘The Countrymen’, who donated their fee to the Robert Johns Leukaemia Fund.
