PUPILS from Class 1 at St Mark's Primary School, Morwenstow, celebrated the end of their 1950s topic in style last Friday (June 7).

Having arrived at school dressed in an array of different 1950 outfits, they spent the morning making and icing 'coronation cup cakes' and examining old photographic evidence of the Queen's Coronation.

They then used this information to write diary entries, imagining they were there in 1953.
