National Volunteers' Week is a nationwide celebration of volunteers and volunteering which takes place from June 1 - 7 of each year across the United Kingdom.

National Volunteers' Week plays a huge part in raising the profile of the millions of volunteers who regularly contribute within the community, while inspiring others to get involved too.

PAVS Volunteering Pembrokeshire is holding a National Volunteers Week celebration event on June 3 at Letterston Memorial Hall, 10 am - 4 pm, to recognise and give thanks to volunteers giving their time and commitment within their communities in Pembrokeshire.

This vibrant popular event is usually attended by over 150 people, with over 20 local voluntary organisations promoting various volunteering opportunities hoping to attracted many new volunteers.

The PAVS Pembrokeshire Volunteering Awards will be taking place at the event in the afternoon, giving recognition in six categories – Trustee, Individual Over 25, Individual Under 25, Group Over 25, Group Under 25 and the Mary Sigley Award where volunteering has changed the life of a person.
