FIRE crews from multiple stations played their part in tackling a barn fire near St Teath.

Appliances from Wadebridge, Bodmin and Padstow fire stations, alongside water carriers from Wadebridge and Liskeard attended the incident in St Teath, which occurred during the afternoon of November 10, 2025.

The blaze was battled overnight by the fire crews. Cattle which were at the site of the fire were safely removed.

A spokesperson for Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said: “Pumping appliances from Wadebridge, Bodmin, and Padstow, along with water carriers from Wadebridge and Liskeard, are responding to a barn fire.

“Update at 17:40 10/11/25 - Good progress is being made. Firefighters are using hose reel jets and main jets to extinguish the fire.

“Update at 05:45 11/11/25 - Good progress being made. One appliance and one water carrier remaining on scene.

“Update at 11:29 11/11/25 - Crews are assisting with spreading remaining straw into open air and providing fire cover. Tier one fire investigation to be undertaken by crews in attendance.”

A spokesperson for Padstow Community Fire Station added: “Firefighters from Padstow were called to a barn fire near St Teath. An L4P crew were tasked with mobilising the water carrier from Wadebridge Community Fire Station while our major responded directly to the incident.”
