IN THIS new 'Post' feature, we ask local sports personalities what makes them, their team and their village or town stand out.

Barry Parrish is currently the chairman at Holsworthy AFC, a role he has enjoyed since 2007.

During his playing career Barry enjoyed stints at Holsworthy, Kilkhampton and Bude.

After retiring he played golf for over 30 years, becoming captain at Holsworthy Golf Club in 1991, but kept an interest in football in his hometown; be it as a coach to Holsworthy area school teams or Holsworthy ladies.

For Barry's full interview, see this week's edition of the 'Post'.
