DELABOLE Carnival Committee held their first fundraising event of the year on Saturday, April 14 — the ever popular carnival big breakfast at Medrose Methodist Chapel.

The 8am start is a little early for some on a Saturday morning, apart from some regulars who fill up before their working day starts. The morning got busier and busier, with peak time at about 11am. A total of 147 meals were served — a combination of ‘big, big’ and ‘big’ breakfasts, and also baps with various fillings.

Total profit for the day was £529, which will go towards the expenses of running the carnival.
