THIS year’s Bradworthy carnival was another storming success with a good number of walking and tableau entries.

Dan the Hat started the evening off by entertaining the crowds in the square. Also in the square were trade stands, food stalls, a bar, inflatables and children’s rides.

Following the colourful procession, this year led by Bradworthy Butcher Kerry Roberts and her heavy horses, Kerina and the Slaves kicked off the live music on the stage in the square.

They were followed by the brilliant Loose Cannons who had people dancing into the night. The evening was brought to a close by a fantastic fire work display.

The carnival committee expessed thanks to everyone that took part in the carnival, as well as everyone that came and watched.

They also expressed thanks to all the local businesses and individuals who sponsored the annual event.A spokesperson said: “Without everyone’s generous support, this annual event would not be able to take place.”
