THE home side moved into a three goal lead; Ben Curtis' early close range strike was followed by a Craig Darby double with both his goals benefiting from some determined, unselfish work from strike partner Carlo Chandler.

Combe Martin were given a glimmer of hope on the stroke of half time when Luke Potter inadvertently sliced a corner into his own net.

Combe' rallied and Ray Squire's 30-yard screamer reduced the deficit. As an equaliser appeared to be getting closer young right wing back Liam Curtis strode forwards and, after exchanging passes with Potter, tucked an inch perfect shot inside the far post to restore the two goal lead against the run of play.

Chandler finally got his first goal of the game to settle any nerves; Liam Curtis' lobbed ball forward found brother Toby in space and his low near post cross was met by Chandler who stabbed home. Soon after he added his second, gambling on a long ball to find himself with time and space to loft the ball over the advancing 'keeper with considered composure.

Toby Curtis grabbed a deserved goal to make it 7 after Potter carved the away side's defence open with a jinking run before squaring for Curtis to tap in to the empty net.
