A NORTH Petherwin care home has been awarded a gold standard for 'excellent' service, the first to do so in Cornwall.
Nos Nom, a residential care home for adults with a learning disability, based at Clubworthy House, North Petherwin, has become the first care home in Cornwall to receive a gold standard award for 'excellent service' from Cornwall People First Quality Checkers.
The check is carried out to ensure that people who use services are treated as full citizens. It is based on best practice and the advisory book by Simon Duffy 'Six Keys to Citizenship'.
