Dunheved Ladies played on April 21, a 15 hole individual stableford with double scores on the par 3's: 1st, Sandra Hazell 38pts; 2nd, Heather Summers 38pts; 3rd, Sylvia Brown 38pts all on countbacks; 4th, Joan Helme 37pts; 5th, Sally Jones 37pts on countback.

Dunheved Ladies played Tavistock away on April 27, some of the ladies started in a hail shower but the weather brightened and the sun came out. This gave the ladies a good win of 4-2 over Tavistock,

Team members were, Mavis Wright, Julia Fox, Heather Summers, Elizabeth Swords, Jane Gratton, Joan Helme, Jean Parnell, Shirley Portis, Val Raine, Anita Bowden, Sally Johns and Janis Lawrence. Well done to the team.

The Spring Ladies Open was held on Wednesday last over one hundred ladies took part, unfortunately not everyone had dry weather for their rounds, even so there were many comments about 'such a lovely course' and 'what spectacular views' this makes it a very rewarding day for everyone involved in making it a success.

There were seven 2's amongst the winners were Judith Smith & Sue Kershaw Bude, Joy Cole & Nancy Bailey.

The Ladies Captain Teona Chegwyn presented the prizes at the close of the day.

Thursday's competition was teams of 3, with 1 score on the first 6, 2 scores on the next 6 and 3 scores on the final 6, there were some excellent scores, 33 ladies played with the dark grey clouds circling us looking very threatening but we stayed dry but very cold.

On Saturday May 2 the Lippiatt Salver was played for in dry sunny conditions but still a chill in the air. Thirty three ladies entered this medal competition and Jan Harrison winning off a handicap of 7 (79-7=72 ); 2nd, Avril Starling 85-12=73; 3rd, Teona Chegwyn 95-22=74; 4th Adele Fletcher, 95-20=75.
