THE Government needs to find 'creative ways' of encouraging people to move to access jobs, said Prime Minister David Cameron during a visit to North Cornwall last week.

Mr Cameron visited developing rural companies near Wadebridge last Friday during what was seen as one of his first campaign engagements ahead of May's General Election.

He told the Post that more than 200,000 apprentices were trained in the South West, including Cornwall, in the last four years, but was questioned how young people could access rural jobs when buses were limited and councils are making cuts to services.

He said: "Obviously it is a challenge in a large rural area to have bus services that can meet everybody's needs, but that's where we have to be flexible and find new ways of doing things."
