IMPROVING the quality of life for people with dementia was one of the many health and wellbeing topics covered at a conference on 'Wellbeing Through Innovation' recently.

In Cornwall, Falmouth has been one of the first to be recognised for its work towards becoming dementia-friendly; Camelford and Carbis Bay are also well on their way.

Alzheimer's Society Ambassador, Angela Rippon, and Chief Executive of the NHS, Sir David Nicholson, both spoke of the challenges facing people living with dementia and how organisations in Cornwall need to work together to help people who live with the disease.
