CAMELFORD Town Council will welcome a new town clerk next Monday (November 14) following the resignation of the present clerk, Brian Groves.
Brian has been with the town council for four years and feels his time in the position has gone well.
"It is hard to begin with as you have to learn the council's ways," he revealed. "But once that is under your belt and you have gained the council's confidence, it is fine."
Marian Sedgwick, who has lived in the Camelford vicinity for 27 years, will be stepping into Brian's shoes. She was a former clerk at Padstow for 14 years, but is looking forward to working with the council which is closer to home. Marian has spent the last month with Brian picking up the council's in-house techniques.
