TWO teachers from Sir James Smith's Community School, Camelford, who spent their recent half-term holiday in Goa, have been highlighting their adventures at a series of school assemblies.
Subject Leader for Science, Georgie Button, and Modern Foreign Languages teacher, Rosa Cembrowicz, visited Sir Jim's partner school in Goa, Spring Valley High.
They outlined to students the length of their journey to the Indian sub-continent, the differing clothes they had to wear to adapt to the heat of Goa, the need to take malaria pills, their desire to try different foods, the welcome they were given and the requirement to adapt to unexpected conditions caused by incidents such as sudden power cuts.
They emphasised to the students the need for a sense of adventure and the importance of good team work.
