STUDENTS at Sir James Smith's School have undergone a smart 'make over' as they have returned to lessons for the new academic year, in a brand new uniform. The pupils put forward the suggestion, in the previous academic year, that perhaps new, smarter, uniform would encourage them to feel even prouder of belonging to Sir Jim's. It was felt that the former uniform — of black skirts/trousers, white polo shirts and green sweaters — could appear be improved. As a result they prompted, with the encouragement and backing of staff, an extensive consultation into alternative school wear.
