A YEAR 11 student at Sir James Smith's Community School, Camelford, has been presented with the school's first ever Honours Tie. Ellie Pratt received the special tie — which recognises sustained and substantial contribution to the school and community — during a Deme assembly. Its award to her marked the fact that she has raised many hundreds of pounds, for the school's Music Department as well as Prom Committee, through two concerts. The highly successful concerts, which were her brainchild, featured musical students from the school and were held in Sir Jim's Hall.
