THE streets of Camelford were lined with people on Boxing Day morning, all eager to catch a glimpse of the annual hunt meet in the town.
The North Cornwall Hunt congregated outside the Darlington Inn at around 11am, where the riders enjoyed a warming glass of mulled wine before setting off.
The youngest rider this year was 13-year-old Harriet Jones of Davidstow, who joined between 60 and 70 other riders for the event.
Hunt master Robin Nicholls then led the group down through the street to Davidstow and across Bodmin Moor.
Mr Nicholls, who is enjoying his first season with the North Cornwall Hunt, said: "Everything went well, it was an absolutely brilliant day. There was a record number of foot followers and between 60 and 70 horses. When we hacked towards the bridge with the hounds, there were cheers all the way through. The streets were lined from the Darlington to the bridge."
The group went to Davidstow for the first trail, and laid a trail into the moors, finishing in the middle of Bodmin Moor, before hacking back.
