THE Camelford Branch of the St John Ambulance is calling for new members after a number of departures has left them short in staff.

Due largely to retirements, numbers at the branch are dwindling to the extent that it is at risk of closure. There are currently only two adult members; Sandra Phillips and Wendy Jones, both of Delabole.

The branch, is in "desperate need" of drivers and first aid volunteers, Sandra said.
