CAMELFORD'S?precept for next year is set to increase by 57.13 per cent, after councillors agreed the sum at last Thursday's town council meeting, writes Suzanne Cleave. The amount set out by the council was £90,066, and this included £10,000 to replenish the reserves. However, Cllr Andy Shaw said: "I'm very concerned about this. It's not just our increase. Over the last few months everything has gone up, food, petrol, fruit and veg. "There are many young members of our community who are going to ill afford to live here."
