PLANS for a supermarket, petrol station and new medical centre have been put forward for Camelford — plans which could create 250 jobs.

Town councillors discussed the plans at an emergency meeting, held recently, and they strongly supported the proposal from Walker Developments to develop the site, off Victoria Road.

The company, which is based in Falmouth put forward a plan to the council which includes a retail supermarket of around 25 to 30,000 square feet; petrol station and medical centre.
